Connect to Bluetooth devices or Auracast broadcasts

First-time setup

Activate the earbuds

Do these three steps once before connecting

First, remove both protective filmsThey cover the charging contacts. Leaving them on prevents activation.

Remove both protective filmsCheck that the metal charging contacts are uncovered.

Put both earbuds in the caseSeat each earbud fully.

Close the lidWait 5 seconds.

Activated: the earbuds are ready. Select Next to choose a listening mode and start using FitLock Aura.

Start setup

Choose how you want to listen

Connect with Bluetooth

Take both earbuds out of the case.Pairing starts automatically. The LED flashes red and blue.

Not flashing red and blue? Hold the + button on either earbud for 5 seconds.

Open Bluetooth on your device.Select FitLock Aura.

Connected: the LED turns solid blue. Start playing audio and confirm you can hear it through both earbuds.

Join an Auracast broadcast

Avantree app

Use the app for open or encrypted broadcasts. Select FitLock Aura when adding your headphones.

Connect FitLock Aura to your phonePair it in your phone's Bluetooth settings first.

Add FitLock AuraOpen the app, tap to add a device, then choose FitLock Aura.

Choose a broadcastTap Auracast, then select the broadcast you want.

For an encrypted broadcastEnter its password. Tap the information icon, then tap Save.

Joined: the earbuds play the selected broadcast.

Broadcast not playing? Keep FitLock Aura connected to the phone by Bluetooth, reopen Auracast in the Avantree app, and select the broadcast again. For an encrypted broadcast, re-enter the password and tap Save.

How to wear

Lock in a secure, comfortable fit

Choose ear tips that seal comfortably, insert each earbud, then settle the ear hook around your ear so it stays secure without pressure.

Adjust volume

Change the volume one step at a time

Use the buttons on either earbud

Wear either earbudPlay audio so you can hear each change.

Press + or − oncePress + to increase or − to decrease the volume. You can use either earbud.

Repeat one press at a timeStop when the volume feels comfortable.

Success: each short press changes the listening volume.

Dual mode

Never miss a phone call while listening to Auracast

When this applies: FitLock Aura is connected to your phone by Bluetooth while you are listening to an Auracast broadcast.

  1. Keep FitLock Aura connected in your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  2. Join the Auracast broadcast in the Avantree app.
  3. When a phone call arrives, the broadcast audio pauses automatically.
Expected: after the call ends, the Auracast audio resumes.

Call did not interrupt the broadcast? Confirm FitLock Aura is still connected to the phone by Bluetooth. Reconnect it, then join the Auracast broadcast again.

Power and controls

Update FitLock Aura in the app

The app will notify you automatically when a new version is available.

Fix a problem

Choose what is going wrong

Bluetooth device cannot find FitLock Aura

Problem: FitLock Aura does not appear in the Bluetooth device list.

Possible cause: the earbuds are not in Bluetooth pairing mode or are too far from the phone, computer, or TV.

Solution:

  1. Move FitLock Aura close to the Bluetooth device.
  2. Hold the + button on either earbud for 5 seconds.
  3. Wait for the LED to flash red and blue, then select FitLock Aura in the Bluetooth list.

Expected result: the LED turns solid blue and audio plays through both earbuds. If it does not, repeat the Bluetooth setup or contact support below.

Cannot join an Auracast broadcast

Problem: FitLock Aura does not play the selected Auracast broadcast.

Possible cause: the earbuds are not connected to the phone, the broadcast was not selected, or an encrypted broadcast password was not saved.

Solution:

  1. Confirm FitLock Aura is connected to your phone by Bluetooth.
  2. Open the Avantree app and select FitLock Aura.
  3. Tap Auracast, then select the broadcast again.
  4. For an encrypted broadcast, re-enter the password and tap Save.

Expected result: the selected broadcast plays through both earbuds. If it does not, reconnect FitLock Aura to the phone and repeat these steps.

Connected, but there is no sound

Problem: FitLock Aura shows a connection but no audio is heard.

Possible cause: playback is paused, the source or earbud volume is too low, or the wrong listening mode is active.

Solution:

  1. Start playback on the connected source.
  2. Raise both the source volume and the FitLock Aura volume from low levels.
  3. For Bluetooth, confirm the LED is solid blue. For Auracast, confirm the orange LED is solid for 3 seconds and then turns off.
  4. If the matching indicator does not appear, reconnect using the Bluetooth or Auracast setup above.

Expected result: audio plays through both earbuds. If there is still no sound, contact support below.

Only one earbud has sound

Problem: audio plays through only one FitLock Aura earbud.

Possible cause: the two earbuds did not start or reconnect together.

Solution:

  1. Place both earbuds in the charging case.
  2. Wait a few seconds, then remove both earbuds together.
  3. Reconnect FitLock Aura and start audio.

Expected result: audio plays through both earbuds. If one side is still silent, contact support below.
