C81-Gaming Setup Guide

PS5 Bluetooth audio setup

Play PS5 sound through one Bluetooth headset. Voice chat is optional and uses the PS5 controller microphone.

Before you start

Connect one headset to PS5

Headphones

Put your headphones in pairing mode

Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones and computers first. Simply turning headphones on is not enough.

Choose your headphones

DONE The headphones or case show their pairing light or prompt.

IF NOT Open the brand instructions above, then try again.

Adapter

Plug in C81-Gaming

  1. Plug C81-Gaming into the PS5 USB-C port. Use the included USB-A adapter if needed.
  2. If the LED is not flashing blue and white, press and hold PAIR for 2 seconds.

DONE The LED flashes blue and white: C81-Gaming is ready to pair.

IF NOT Check the port and light →

Port and light help

Unplug and reinsert C81-Gaming, then hold PAIR for 2 seconds again. If PS5 says it does not support Bluetooth audio accessories, ignore that message and continue with the USB audio setup.

Connect

Wait for the devices to connect

  1. Keep C81-Gaming and the headphones within 3 ft / 1 m.
  2. Wait for the C81-Gaming LED to change from fast blue-and-white flashing.

DONE Solid blue means low-latency audio; slow blinking blue means standard audio.

Choose the PS5 audio output

  1. On PS5, open Settings → Sound → Audio Output.
  2. Set Output Device to C81-G.
  3. Play game audio and raise the headset volume if needed.

DONE Game sound plays through your Bluetooth headphones.

Quick help

Fix the common problems

01Headphones will not pair

Possible cause: the headphones are on but not in pairing mode, or they reconnect to another device.

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones and computers.
  2. Use the headphone brand instructions to enter pairing mode.
  3. Hold C81-Gaming PAIR for 2 seconds until blue and white flash. Keep both devices within 3 ft / 1 m.

DONE: C81-Gaming shows solid blue or slow blinking blue. If not, use the C81-Gaming support page.

02Connected, but no sound

Possible cause: PS5 output is not set to C81-G, or volume is low.

  1. Set PS5 Output Device to C81-G in Settings → Sound → Audio Output.
  2. Raise PS5 and headphone volume; start game audio.
  3. If still silent, reinsert C81-Gaming and restart the game.

DONE: Game audio plays in the headset.

03Other players cannot hear me

Possible cause: PS5 is using the wrong microphone. The Bluetooth headset microphone is not supported for this game-audio setup.

Set Settings → Sound → Microphone → Input Device to Microphone on Controller.

DONE: game audio remains in the headphones and the controller microphone captures your voice.

04Audio is delayed

Possible cause: low-latency audio needs compatible Bluetooth headphones; many standard earbuds use normal Bluetooth latency.

Move closer to C81-Gaming, disconnect competing Bluetooth devices, and use headphones that support aptX Adaptive or aptX Low Latency if low delay is essential.

DONE: game sound and action feel synchronized. If delay remains with compatible headphones, contact support.

05My device will not connect

Possible cause: C81-Gaming sends USB audio to one Bluetooth headset, earbuds or speaker; it does not pair keyboards, mice, Xbox or PS Portal.

Use a compatible USB audio source and Bluetooth audio receiver. For another source, check computer or phone setup.

DONE: the source lists C81-G as its USB audio output and the adapter LED is solid or slow-blinking blue.

Optional · PS5 voice chat

Use the controller microphone

Only need game audio? Skip this step.

  1. On your PS5, open Settings → Sound → Microphone.
  2. Set Input Device to Microphone on Controller.

Your Bluetooth headphone microphone is not used for PS5 voice chat.

DONE Game audio plays in your headphones. Other players hear you through the controller microphone.

Other ways to use C81-Gaming

Connect to a computer or phone

This is separate from PS5 setup. Your source device must support USB audio.

Computer or phone audio setup
  1. Plug C81-Gaming into the computer or phone USB port. If it does not flash blue and white, hold PAIR for 2 seconds.
  2. Put your headphones in pairing mode and keep them close to C81-Gaming.
  3. Choose C81-G as the computer or phone audio output.

Windows: Settings → System → Sound. Mac: System Settings → Sound.

DONE: audio plays in the headphones; C81-Gaming shows solid blue or slow blinking blue.

IF NOT: check the computer or phone volume, confirm C81-G is the output, and repeat headphone pairing. If the source cannot select USB audio, check its USB audio support.

PC voice chat
  1. Open Zoom, Teams, Discord or another call app.
  2. Choose C81-G as both Input and Output in the app.
  3. For batches before 25J3, double-click the adapter MFB to enter call mode. Batches 25J3 and later switch automatically.

DONE: the LED is solid white in call mode and the call app uses C81-G for sound and microphone.

IF NOT: recheck the call app's input and output settings, then contact C81-Gaming support if the LED still will not turn solid white.
