Setup Guide

TV audio setup

Choose one TV audio output, then connect your Classic Bluetooth headphones.

Step 01

Choose your TV audio OUT

Find one TV port labeled AUDIO OUT.

Task Choose the first available option below.

Check the TV labels

Use an OUT port, never an IN port.

Choose Optical first

Use OPTICAL / DIGITAL AUDIO OUT when available.

Audikast 3 has no HDMI or RCA input. Adapters are separate accessories.

If not Send Support a clear photo of all TV ports with the TV brand and model.

Step 02

Connect Audikast 3 to the TV

Power the transmitter, then connect one audio cable.

Task Connect the cable chosen in Step 01.

Power on

Connect the USB-C end of the included power cable to Audikast 3. Connect the other end to either:

  • A powered USB port on your TV
  • A 5 V USB wall adapter

Either option will work. Slide the power switch to ON.

Connect Optical

Remove both clear tip covers. Plug the purple cable into TV OPTICAL OUT → Audikast 3 OPTICAL. Select OPT.

Or connect AUX

Plug the blue cable into TV HEADPHONES / AUDIO OUT → Audikast 3 AUX. Select AUX.

✓ Done Audikast 3 is powered on and one TV audio cable is connected.

If not Check the TV port says OUT and the transmitter selector matches OPT or AUX.

Step 03

Set Optical audio to PCM

Optical users must set the TV to PCM. AUX users can skip to pairing.

Task Use your TV remote to set Optical audio to PCM.

Open Sound settings

On the TV remote, open Settings → Sound.

Choose Optical output

Select Optical, External Speaker, or Audio System.

Choose PCM

Set Digital Audio Format to PCM or Stereo.

Used AUX instead?

Raise the TV headphone-output volume to a normal level. TV speakers may stay on or mute, depending on the TV.

✓ Done For Optical, the TV output is Optical and the format is PCM or Stereo. For AUX, the TV audio is playing at a normal level.

Step 04

Pair Classic Bluetooth headphones

Keep your headphones within 3 ft / 1 m of Audikast 3.

Task Put your headphones in pairing mode, then wait for Audikast 3 to connect.

Put your headphones in pairing mode

Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones. Put the headphones in pairing mode—not just power on.

Expected: the headphone light flashes rapidly or you hear a pairing prompt.

Check the back of your case.

There is a button

AirPods 1–3 / AirPods Pro 1–2

  1. Open the case with your AirPods inside.
  2. Hold the button on the back for about 5 seconds.

There is no button

AirPods 4 or 5 / AirPods Pro 3

  1. Open the case with your AirPods inside.
  2. Double-tap the front of the case.

AirPods Max
  1. Press and hold the noise control button for about 5 seconds.

Ready when: the status light flashes white.

Bose
  1. Turn on the headphones or open the earbud case.
  2. Hold the Bluetooth or power button until the light flashes blue or you hear “Ready to connect.”

Ready when: the light flashes blue or the voice prompt confirms pairing.

Beats
  1. Turn on the headphones.
  2. Hold the system or power button until the indicator flashes.

Ready when: the indicator flashes for pairing.

Sony
  1. With the headphones off, hold the power button for about 5 seconds.
  2. For Sony earbuds, use the case or touch-sensor pairing command for your exact model.

Ready when: the light flashes blue or you hear “Bluetooth pairing.”

Samsung Galaxy Buds
  1. Place both earbuds in the case, close it for 5–6 seconds, then open it.
  2. If pairing does not start, wear both earbuds and touch both touchpads until you hear the pairing sound.

Ready when: the earbuds announce pairing or show their pairing pattern.

JBL
  1. Hold the Bluetooth or power button until the indicator flashes rapidly.
  2. If JBL reconnects to a phone, turn that phone Bluetooth off and try again.

Ready when: the indicator flashes rapidly.

Other headphones
  1. Hold the power, Bluetooth, or main button until the light flashes rapidly.
  2. Check the headphone manual for the exact command if the light does not change.

Ready when: the headphones show their documented pairing pattern.

Wait for Audikast 3 to connect

Audikast 3 searches automatically when powered on. Keep the headphones within 3 ft / 1 m.

Connected: the listener 1 LED turns solid blue.

Not flashing red and blue? Hold the Audikast 3 listener 1 pairing button for 5 seconds. A red-and-blue flashing LED means Audikast 3 is ready to pair.

Play TV audio

Play a TV show with speaking voices. Adjust the headphone volume.

Done: sound plays through your headphones and the listener 1 LED stays solid blue.

No sound? Match the Audikast 3 input selector to your Optical or AUX cable. For Optical, set TV digital audio to PCM. Open no-sound help →
Add a second Bluetooth listener (optional)

Keep listener 1 connected. Audikast 3 can send the same TV audio to a second Classic Bluetooth headphone, earbud, or speaker.

  1. Put the second listening device in pairing mode.
  2. Hold the Audikast 3 listener 2 pairing button for 5 seconds, until its LED flashes red and blue.
  3. Keep the device within 3 ft / 1 m. Wait for the listener 2 LED to turn solid blue.
  4. Play TV audio. Check that both listening devices hear it.

Done: both listener LEDs are solid blue and both devices play TV audio.

Choose what you need.

Use hearing aidsCompatibility depends on the Bluetooth type

Audikast 3 uses Classic Bluetooth only.

Compatible: some hearing aids that accept standard Classic Bluetooth audio, including supported Phonak, Unitron, and Kirkland models.

Not compatible: hearing aids that require Auracast / LE Audio, MFi, or ASHA. Confirm the exact brand and model before setup.

  • Use + / − on Audikast 3 for output level.
  • For AUX, also raise the TV headphone/output volume.
  • For Optical, use + / − to apply up to 6 dB boost; TV volume may not control Optical output.

Fix the common problems

Restore TV audio

Possible cause: the TV output, cable, input selector, or Optical format does not match.

  1. Check the TV output. Use Optical Out or Headphones / Audio Out, not an input.
  2. Match the Audikast 3 input. Optical cable → OPT. AUX cable → AUX.
  3. Used Optical? On the TV remote, choose Optical output and PCM or Stereo.
  4. Play TV audio. For AUX, raise the TV headphone-output volume.
Expected: the OPT or AUX signal light is solid white, listener 1 is solid blue, and TV sound plays.
Signal light still flashing? Reseat the cable, try another TV program, then open Audikast 3 no-sound help →

Reconnect your headphones

Possible cause: the headphones are connected to another device or are not in pairing mode.

  1. Turn off nearby Bluetooth. Disconnect phones, tablets, computers, and TVs.
  2. Start headphone pairing. Confirm a fast-blinking light or voice prompt.
  3. Start Audikast 3 pairing only if needed. Hold the matching listener 1 or 2 button for 5 seconds until its LED flashes red and blue.
  4. Move closer. Keep both devices within 3 ft / 1 m and wait for connection.
Expected: the matching listener LED is solid blue.

Reduce lip-sync delay

Possible cause: headphone codec or TV audio processing adds delay.

  1. Use low-latency headphones. Look for aptX Adaptive or aptX Low Latency support.
  2. Turn off extra TV audio processing if the TV offers that setting.
  3. Test one wireless path. Avoid two different wireless audio paths when sync matters.
Expected: speech and picture move closer together.
