Not sure about T or MT?

Look for a T or MT setting in your hearing aid app or paperwork. If you cannot find one, ask your hearing care professional.

Aura C receiver plugs into a USB-C phone

Aura C phone hearing aids

  1. Plug Aura C into a compatible USB-C phone.
  2. The phone sends the broadcast to hearing aids already connected by Bluetooth, MFi, or ASHA.

Aura C does not pair directly with hearing aids.

Choose what you notice

Open a symptom. Try each step in order.

Cannot find the broadcast

Possible cause: The device may be out of range or scanning for normal Bluetooth.

  1. Move closer to the broadcast area.
  2. Scan for Auracast, not normal Bluetooth pairing.
  3. Restart the listening device and scan again.

Done: The broadcast name appears.

If not: Check compatibility, then open the brand or product guide.

Joined, but no sound

Possible cause: The wrong broadcast may be selected, or volume may be low.

  1. Confirm the intended broadcast name.
  2. Leave the broadcast, then join it again.
  3. Raise the listening-device volume gradually.

Done: Audio plays through your device.

If not: Restart the device and repeat its brand or product guide.

Sound cuts out

Possible cause: You may be near the edge of the broadcast area, or another stream is active.

  1. Move closer to the broadcast area.
  2. Pause other streams or calls.
  3. Leave and rejoin the broadcast.

Done: Audio stays stable.

If not: Contact support with the device model and broadcast name.

Echo or delayed TV sound

Possible cause: TV speakers and Auracast audio may arrive at different times.

  1. Mute the TV speakers and test Auracast alone.
  2. If needed, adjust the TV audio-delay or sync setting.

Done: Voices no longer arrive twice.

If not: Use one audio path or contact the TV manufacturer.

How Auracast works
  • One broadcast can serve many compatible listeners.
  • Each listener controls their own volume.
  • Join from a supported app or Auracast control.
  • A venue may supply a broadcast name or QR code.
Before you rely on it

Supported: The exact listening-device model supports Auracast.

Not this: Do not use normal Bluetooth pairing to find an Auracast broadcast.

  • Confirm the venue's broadcast name or joining method.
  • Test the setup nearby before the event starts.
